GUNN BALDURSSON
MEMORIAL AWARD / (Championship MVP)
LE PRIX COMMÉMORATIF GUNN BALDURSSON (MVP du
Championnat)
The Gunn Baldursson Award is awarded to the Most Valuable Player
of the National Championship. The selection is made by a
committee established by the Host. The trophy was donated by
Acadia University and the Baldursson family in memory of
Gunnhildur Baldursson. A native of Iceland, "The Gunner" was a
two-time All Conference soccer player for the Acadia University
Women's Soccer Team, and a National Team member. Baldursson was
killed in a tragic car accident in 1987.
Le prix Gunn Baldursson est remis à la joueuse la plus utile du
Championnat national. La récipiendaire est choisie par un comité
de sélection formé par les organisateurs. Le trophée a été donné
par l'Université Acadia et la famille Baldursson à la mémoire de
Gunnhildur Baldursson. Native de l'Islande, Mme Baldursson a été
nommée joueuse étoile de conférence au soccer à deux reprises.
Elle jouait pour l'équipe féminine de soccer de l'Université
Acadia et était membre de l'équipe nationale. Mme Baldursson a
perdu la vie dans un accident de la circulation en 1987.

CHANTAL NAVERT MEMORIAL AWARD
(Player of the Year) /
LE PRIX COMMÉMORATIF CHANTAL NAVERT (Joueuse
de l'année)
The Chantal Navert Memorial Award is presented annually to the
Outstanding Player of the Year. The award was donated by the
Université de Sherbrooke in memory of Chantal Navert. Chantal, a
National Soccer Official for 15 years, an avid university soccer
supporter and a role model for those aspiring to become referees
at the National and International level, passed away suddenly in
1995. The winner is selected by a selection committee composed
of members of the CIS Coaches Association.
Le prix commémoratif Chantal Navert est décerné chaque année à
la joueuse qui s'est le plus distinguée au cours de l'année. Le
prix a été donné par l'Université de Sherbrooke à la mémoire de
Chantal Navert, qui a été officielle nationale au soccer pendant
15 ans. Fervente partisane et modèle pour les personnes qui
aspiraient à devenir arbitre de niveau national ou
international, Chantal a perdu la vie subitement en 1995. La
récipiendaire est choisie par un comité de sélection formé de
membres de l'Association des entraîneurs de SIC.

ROOKIE OF THE YEAR / RECRUE DE
L’ANNÉE
Initiated in 1996, the Rookie of the Year Award is presented
annually to a first-year player in CIS soccer who has exhibited
exemplary skill and leadership. The winner is selected by the
CIS Coaches Association.
Lancé en 1996, le prix de recrue de l'année est présenté
annuellement à une étudiante athlète de soccer qui dès sa
première année sur le circuit universitaire a démontré des
habiletés exceptionnelles et un leadership exemplaire. La
récipiendaire est choisie par l'Association des entraîneurs de
SIC.
