EDMONTON (CIS) - A not-so golden game resulted in a record Canadian university men's hockey champion. Rookie left-winger Dylan Stanley scored the game winner among all the goals in the first period as Alberta won a second straight University Cup Sunday with a 3-2 win over Lakehead. -

EDMONTON (CIS) - The host Golden Bears came out flying in defence of the University Cup with a goal in the first two minutes - and seven more for good measure. Joff Kehler and Harlan Anderson each scored twice as Alberta scored five powerplay goals in a dominant 8-2 win over Wilfrid Laurier. -

Scott Henkelman finished with two goals Saturday for the defending CIS men's hockey champions in a 5-1 win over the McGill Redmen. -

EDMONTON (CIS) - Shawn Shewchuk had the backhand winner at 3:40 of the second sudden-death overtime as the McGill Redmen came back to beat the Wilfred Laurier Golden Hawks 4-3 Thursday in the final pool game on the first day of the 2006 CIS men's hockey championship. -
