Cavendish University Cup final: Pearce wins title in OT for V-Reds
MONCTON (CIS) - Robert Pearce scored 8:49 into the first overtime period to help the fifth-seeded University of New Brunswick Varsity Reds capture the second University Cup in team history with a 3-2 win over the top-ranked and tournament host Moncton Aigles Bleus in the CIS men's hockey final played in front of 6,023 fans at the Moncton Coliseum, on Sunday evening. -

MONCTON (CIS) - Yvan Busque tied the game with 57 seconds left in regulation and completed his hat trick 6:26 into the second overtime period to lift top-seeded and tournament host Moncton to a 5-4 win over the No. 4 Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks on Saturday night at the Moncton Coliseum, and send the Aigles Bleus to Sunday's CIS men's hockey final. -
