MEDIA
ACCREDITATION INVITATION:
The
organizing committee of the Canadian Interuniversity Sport Men's
Ice Hockey Championship, under the aegis of Université de
Moncton, invites members of the media to attend and cover the Cavendish
University Cup in Moncton, New Brunswick, March 20 th to 23 rd ,
2008. The six best of Canadian university teams will compete for
the Cavendish University Cup during the seven games played at the
Moncton Coliseum.
All
media representatives are requested to apply for their accreditation
in order to ensure that the organizing committee may provide the
best services possible at the Cavendish University Cup. By completing
this form, working journalists and approved representatives of the
media industry are applying for their accreditation which will allow
them to attend and use the facilities and services provided exclusively
to accredited media. The Cavendish University Cup will feature a
Media Work Center, access to a full service Press Box (assistance,
stats), reserved seats with best viewpoints (for photographers),
access to post-game media conferences and more.

Media representatives will REQUIRE credentials to operate on the
competition site
· Media representatives MUST register by the deadline date:
March 14th 2008
· There is NO FEE for media accreditations.
Eligibility - Cavendish University Cup credentials are available
to reporters, editors working as reporters, producers, camera operators
and still photographers who present their official press credentials.
Exceptions must be approved by the Cavendish University Cup Media
Relations and Communication committee. Cavendish University Cup
media credentials are not available to staff of media advertising,
marketing, public relations or management departments or professional
communication firms.
New media - Web journalists, such as bloggers, must authenticate
their status as reporters by supplying links to and/or samples of
their blogs or media outlets. Freelance writers must provide at
least one article published within the last six months and or must
present an original letter of assignment. Credentials will be granted
at the discretion of the Cavendish University Cup Media Relations
and Communication committee.
Restrictions - In the event that there is limited space for media
at a particular event, the Cavendish University Cup Media Relations
and Communication committee reserves the right to limit the number
of representatives of each media outlet attending the event. Media
representatives, who violate guidelines for coverage, whether written
or oral, may have their credentials withdrawn.
Media representatives who have been approved for accreditation will
receive a confirmation by e-mail while they will be able pick up
credentials at the Moncton Coliseum prior to the championship's
start. Media representatives will be required to present official
press credentials and photo identification.

NB:
Teams must bring 60 media kits to be distributed

Universities
who will be accompanied by media reps must provide their contact

as soon as possible.
In
addition to the press box at the Moncton Coliseum, media reps will
have exclusive access to a furnished media centre. Media passes
will be distributed during the March 19 th press conference at the
Moncton Coliseum.
