Varsity Blues' Adu-Gyumfi Leaps Into CIS Record Book
WINNIPEG At the 2005 Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) Track& Field Championship, the University of Toronto'sJocelyn Adu-Gyumfi captured gold in the women's long jump, becoming the firstathlete in the history of CIS competition to finish first in the same eventfive straight years. -

U of A results at the track championship
The University of Alberta Golden Bears picked up several medals on Saturday and finished an impressive fifth overall at the 2005 CIS Track & Field Championships in Winnipeg. On the women's side, the Pandas rode several podium finishes on Day 2 (Friday) to finish eighth overall. -

Whalen picks up two gold medals
Lisa Whalen of the host Manitoba Bisons had a day to remember on the track during day two of the 2005 CIS track & field championship at the University of Manitoba's Max Bell Fieldhouse. She captured two gold medals with a win in the 1000m (2:48.44) and anchored the Bisons' 4x800 gold medal team (8:53.06). -

Saskatchewan capture both men`s and women`s title at CIS championship
WINNIPEG (CIS) - For only the second time in CIS T&F Championship history,
a university swept both the men`s and women`s titles. At the conclusion of
the 2005 CIS T&F Championship held at the University of Manitoba, the
University of Saskatchewan Huskies earned their third consecutive women`s
title with 67 points and secured their first men`s title since the 2002
season with 55 points. -

Three records fall at Max Bell Fieldhouse
WINNIPEG (CIS) - Jim Steacy of the Lethbridge Pronghorns, Kelsie Hendry of
the Saskatchewan Huskies and Adrienne Power of Dalhousie all set new meet
records on day two of the 2005 Canadian Interuniversity Sport track & field
championship at the University of Manitoba's Max Bell Fieldhouse. -
