VanierFest
Saskatoon knows how to host. And the 2006 PotashCorp
Vanier Cup is no exception. Any and all are welcome at VanierFest,
a three-day, fun-filled event leading up to the Vanier Cup.
All VanierFest events are located at the Saskatoon Field
House and are open to the general public. For the full three
days, VanierFest will have continuous entertainment, big-screen
TVs, and a bar. So don't miss out on the fun. Be part of
the 2006 PotashCorp Vanier Cup and Vanier Fest, guaranteed
to be Saskatoon's best-ever three-day sporting event.

Kick-Off Cabaret featuring Great Big
Sea
Don't miss opening night of VanierFest with Great Big Sea,

Students
College Cabaret featuring The Road
Hammers, Juno Award winners and recent winners
of the Canadian Country Music Awards for Best Group or Duo
and Video of the Year

The day before the big game is dedicated to college students.
To show our appreciation, all students with a valid student
card will be admitted free to VanierFest on Friday, November
24, between 1:00pm and 6:00pm.

It's GAME DAY!
Pre-game begins with VanierFest. Doors open at
10:00am with bands playing throughout the day. Game-day
tickets get you in the door free of charge for the pre-game
funfest.
Kick-off: 2:00pm

OTHER SPECIAL EVENTS
Thursday, Nov. 23 - CIS All-Canadian Awards Gala
Held annually this event celebrates the best
in Canadian university football. The evening will feature
the first- and second-team all-Canadians and the winners
of major awards including the President's Trophy, for defensive
player of the year; the J.P. Metras Trophy, for down lineman
of the year; the Peter Gorman Trophy, for rookie of the
year; and, of course, the Hec Crighton Trophy, the ultimate
award for individual achievement in CIS football presented
to the best overall player of the year.

Friday, Nov. 24 - Russ Jackson Awards Luncheon
An annual celebration that reaches beyond the
football field. The luncheon will announce the winner of
the Russ Jackson Award presented to a player best exemplifying
the attributes of football skills, academic achievements
and citizenship. The luncheon will also include the presentation
of the CIS coach of the year (Frank Tindall Trophy) as well
as the volunteer assistant coach of the year (Gino Fracas
Award). And this year, the Host Committee of the 2006 PotashCorp
VanierCup is thrilled to announce that the legendary Russ
Jackson himself will be in attendance.

Nov. 24 - Glen Suitor Football College
In conjunction with the PotashCorp
Vanier Cup, former Saskatchewan Roughrider, Glen Suitor,
will be joined by recent Football Hall of Fame inductees
Matt Dunigan and Bobby Jurasin, and other past and current
CFL stars including many Huskie alumni to present the first-ever
Glen Suitor Football College to 500 aspiring football players
ages 10-15 from across Saskatchewan. The Football College
will take place indoors on the artificial grass field at
the new SaskTel Sports Centre on Friday, Nov. 24, the day
before game-day of the PotashCorp Vanier Cup. For more information
