SASKATOON - Organizers of the 2006 PotashCorp Vanier Cup announced at a media conference at the Saskatoon International Airport on Sunday that the final block of 760 game tickets for the CIS football final will go on sale through Ticketmaster on Monday morning at 10 a.m. Saskatchewan time (CST).

"We expect this final group of tickets to be picked up almost as soon as they are released given the huge demand we have experienced since the University of Saskatchewan Huskies won the CIS Mitchell Bowl Saturday afternoon," said Chairman Hugh Vassos. "The box office was absolutely deluged with calls yesterday and any remaining tickets were gone within minutes."

"As event organizers we are absolutely ecstatic that we have a perfect match-up for next Saturday's national championship with Laval and Saskatchewan," added Vassos. "These are two great football programs and we congratulate both teams for making it to the final. This is one of the most anticipated Vanier Cup in history and Saskatoon is ready to host this true East-West Classic."

VanierFest runs Thursday, Nov. 23 to Saturday, Nov. 25 with activities including the CIS All- Canadian Awards Gala (Thursday), the Russ Jackson - Coach of the Year Luncheon (Friday), the Kick-Off cabaret with Great Big Sea, the College Cabaret with the Roadhammers, the Glen Suitor Football College, and the Game-Day special events.
