OF THE CHAMPIONSHIP
The award is presented annually at the National Championship to
the Most Valuable Player at the CIS Women’s Ice Hockey Championship
Tournament. The Selection Committee is composed of members of the
CIS Coaches Association in attendance at the Championship.

PLAYER OF THE YEAR -
The Brodrick Trophy
Dedicated in honour of two members of the Brodrick Family, Dr. Robert
Brodrick and his daughter Laurie (who passed away in 1994 after
battling cancer) for their vision in the development of women’s
hockey at Loyola College Concordia University and the CIS. The Player
of the Year is selected by the CIS Coaches Association.

THE MARION HILLIARD
AWARD
Marion Hilliard
was a top player on the Toronto Blues outstanding Intercollegiate
ice hockey team from 1922-27 and was a leading member of 6 championship
teams. She was President of the University Hockey Club and was a
member of the women’s Athletic Directorate for four years.
The Award is presented to reward excellence in the student-athlete.
The recipient exhibits outstanding achievement in three areas: hockey,
academics and community involvement.
