CIS final: Comeback Birds claim first gold since 1978
FREDERICTON (CIS) - The No.4-ranked University of British Columbia Thunderbirds mounted a second dramatic comeback in as many nights to capture their first Canadian Interuniversity Sport women's volleyball title in 30 years with a 21-25, 25-21, 20-25, 28-26, 20-18 win over the No.2-Montreal Carabins, Saturday, at the University of New Brunswick's Aitken Centre. - March 1 2008

CIS bronze medal: No. 3 Dinos claim fourth straight bronze
FREDERICTON (CIS) - In an epic nail biting match the No.3 ranked University of Calgary claimed the CIS women's volleyball bronze medal, defeating the No.1 ranked defending champions the University of Alberta (24-26, 25-19, 22-25, 25-19, 17-15). The Dinos came from behind in the fifth set to take the match and the medal. - March 1 2008

CIS fifth place match: No. 5 Vert & Or down Mac, finish fifth
FREDERICTON (CIS) - McMaster got out of the gate with an impressive first set win but was not able to hold on as Sherbrooke took the match in four sets (21-25, 25-17, 25-22, 25-22). Sherbrooke's fifth place finish matches their pre-tournament rank. - March 1 2008

CIS semi-final #2: No. 2 Carabins advance to first national final
FREDERICTON (CIS) - The Montreal Carabins are off to the finals for the first time in the school's history as they beat the Calgary Dinos 3-1 (25-14, 22-25, 25-20, 25-22). Montreal will face No. 4 seed UBC in the championship game at 7:00pm tomorrow evening. The Dinos are left to look at the bronze medal game as they will face No. 1 seed University of Alberta. - February 29 2008

CIS semi-final #1: No. 4 Birds mount historic comeback, down champs
FREDERICTON (CIS) - In one of the greatest comebacks in Canadian Interuniversity Sport women's volleyball championship history, the No.4-seeded UBC Thunderbirds overcame a two-set-to-none deficit and a 6-1 hole in the fifth and decisive game to defeat the defending national champion and No.1-Alberta Pandas 23-25, 18-25, 25-23, 25-11, 15-7 in Friday's first semifinal and advance to the gold-medal match of the 2008 CIS tournament. - February 29 2008
