FREDERICTON - Two-time CIS player of the year Laetitia Tchoualack had 28 kills and 17 digs to lead the No. 1-seeded Montreal Carabins to a five-set bronze-medal win over the No. 6 Laval Rouge et Or (22-25, 25-19, 25-21, 21-25, 15-10) Saturday afternoon at the 2009 CIS women's volleyball championship. - February 28 2009

Consolation final: No. 3 Spartans come back to finish fifth
FREDERICTON - The No. 3-seeded Trinity Western Spartans overcame a two-set deficit to edge the No. 5 York Lions 3-2 (18-25, 20-25, 25-17, 26-24, 15-4) Saturday afternoon in the fifth-place consolation final of the 2009 CIS women's volleyball championship, at the UNB Aitken University Centre. - February 28 2009

FREDERICTON - Led by fifth-year left side Lauren Perry (18 kills, 17 digs) and Canada West player of the year Holly Harper (13 kills, 16 digs) the No. 4-seeded Calgary Dinos upset the No. 1 Montreal Carabins in five sets (19-25, 25-13, 20-25, 27-25, 15-12), Friday night, in a thrilling late semi-final at the 2009 CIS women's volleyball championship. - February 27 2009
